5 Days Ndutu Migration Safari Calving Season

This safari lets you witness the Great Wildebeest Migration. Over 2 million Wildebeest, Zebra and Gazelles move through the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystems in search of green pastures and safe calving ground. Their pattern of movement is highly weather dependent and dynamic, yet with advance planning and a little bit of luck you can witness this natural wildlife wonder. This safari covers other National Parks too, where you can witness resident game. The tour is available throughout the year, but opting for it in the right season will leave you awestruck. To provide you with an unforgettable experience, this safari can be done only as a private safari. The choice of accommodation available is mid range to luxury grade tented camps and lodges.

Day to day Best of Tanzania Safari Itinerary

Day 1 : Arusha - Serengeti South - Ndutu Area

We’ll pick you up from your hotel accommodation in Arusha and bring you to Arusha Airstrip for your flight to Ndutu Area. Upon arrival, you’ll have a meet and greet with your tour guide/driver and then proceed to a game drive.

Lake Ndutu area, situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, part of the southern Serengeti eco-system. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like most of the other Rift lakes, however, the water is still drinkable and used by a wide array of local wildlife. The majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April. The area is usually heavily populated with elephant, birds and resident game.

Day 2 : Ndutu Area

Start your day with a game drive in Ndutu Area after breakfast and then back to the camp for lunch then resume game drive at Seronera.

In the wilderness, tracking the Great migration trails. A thorough explanation of this great world event that Tanzania proud of will be provided. And in the evening as the sun goes down, Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th worldwide wonder, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration.

Day 3 : Ndutu - Seronera

Experience a hot air balloon safari early in the morning and then proceed back to the camp for breakfast. Afterwards, we’ll depart for Seronera with game drive en route.

The park is well known for its healthy stock of other resident wildlife, particularly the “big five”, named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: Lion: the Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due in part to the abundance of prey species. More than 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem. African Leopard: these reclusive predators are commonly seen around.

Day 4 : Serengeti - Conservation Area

After breakfast, we’ll continue the game drive in Seronera area and in the afternoon, we’ll proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

A million wildebeest… each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling its instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life: a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating; survival of the fittest as 40km (25 mile) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus north; replenishing the species in a brief population explosion that produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the 1,000 km (600 miles) pilgrimage begins again.

Day 5 : Ngorongoro Crater - Departure

We’ll depart in the morning after breakfast and descend to Ngorongoro Crater by 11 AM. Afterwards, we drive back to Arusha and drop you off in the airport to catch your flight back home or to your next destination.

      Amazing Kilimanjaro Hike .
Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with Seko Tours was amazing. Our guide, Inno, helped us a lot. He made sure we were ready for each day's hike.       Unforgettable experience at Mount Meru!
We climbed Mount Meru in 4 days with Happyson and his crew from Seko Tours. We had an amazing experience, even though it was quite tough (especially because of the rainy season). We made it to the top thanks to this wonderful crew. They even shared their rain jacket and waterproof gloves with us. The chef prepared delicious meals, and the waiter took great care of us (including water to wash ourselves, tea, popcorn and hot water in a bottle to keep us warm during the night). Happyson and team spared no efforts and we had a lot of fun together. On the fourth day, right before the gate, we were surprised by seeing so many wild animals and the beautiful waterfall. The two giraffes at just a few meters away was amazing. Would definitely recommend!!

      Safari with David from Seko tours
David was our guide for our 2 day Tarangire and 1 day Ngorongoro safari. We were with a group of 4 friends and David was the best guide we could wish for. He had a lot of knowledge about the area, the animals, the culture, actually about everything. He could find every amimal we wanted to see including the difficult to spot cheeta, leopard and rhino. He did everything to get us the best spot to view and photograph the animals. When viewing, he told us a lot of intersting facts about the animals and the area they are in. Between the safari days David also was our driver to all locations in between, always on time and always with surprises, like beer or a great warm lunch.       Best Safari guides with a lot of knowledge, friendliness and fun
We had a wonderful experience with our guides Shabani (mr walking encyclopedia) and John (mr juice). We went to Tarangiri, Serengeti and Ngorogoro in 2 cars with a family of 7. Both guides learned us a lot on the animals and really were motivated to give us the best time possible. They are friendly, happy and the best guides you could wish for.
