Day to day Best of Tanzania Safari Itinerary
Day 1:
Arusha to Ndutu for Game Drive
After breakfast, you will drive for about 3 hours from Arusha to the Ndutu area. This place is in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which is also part of the southern Serengeti. Lake Ndutu has salty water like other rift valley lakes, but animals can still drink it.
In the afternoon, you will go for a game drive in the Ndutu area. From December to April, many wildebeests are found here on the short green grass plains. This makes it a great place to see wildlife. You can also spot elephants, many birds, and other animals that live here all year round.

Travel Time
Day 2:
Full Day Ndutu Game Drive
Today you will leave early in the morning, around 6:00 am, for a game drive. You will go from the lodge to explore around Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek, looking for big cats like lions and cheetahs, maybe hunting for food. You might also see wildebeest, zebras, impalas, and other animals.
After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for a full breakfast. Then, you will go back out into the bush for another game drive in the afternoon. Later, you will come back to the lodge for lunch and some rest.
In the evening, when it’s cooler, you will go on another game drive on the Ndutu Plains to enjoy the sunset. After that, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Ndutu is a beautiful area located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, right next to the southern part of Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. It is well known for being a key location during the Great Migration, especially from December to April, when thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and other animals gather to give birth on the rich, short-grass plains. Ndutu is also famous for its amazing wildlife viewing, including big cats like lions and cheetahs, as well as elephants and many bird species. The area has two main lakes—Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek—which attract animals even during the dry season.

Day 3:
Full Day Experience Southern Serengeti Game Drive
Go for a game drive in the Ndutu area. From December to April, most of the wildebeest migration is found here on the short green grass plains. This makes Ndutu a great place to see many animals. Morning Ndutu Game Drive to Ngorongoro
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the Ndutu area to look for wildebeest and wild cats like lions and cheetahs. After the exciting game drive and lunch, you will drive to Ngorongoro where you will spend the night.

Day 3:
Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive to Kilimanjaro Airport
After breakfast, you will go on an exciting trip down into the Ngorongoro Crater, a place full of animals, including the famous Big 5. You will enjoy a game drive inside the crater and see beautiful views while looking for different animals that live there. During the game drive, you will stop for a picnic lunch near the hippo pool. After that, you will continue your journey back to Arusha and then be taken to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight.
