Lake Duluti Canoeing

Lake Duluti Nature Reserves

Lake Duluti Forest Reserve is in northern Tanzania, in the Arumeru District of the Arusha Region. The lake covers 62.3 hectares, and its deepest point is 700 meters. There is a natural forest all around the lake. What makes this lake special is its volcanic, green-colored water and the fact that no rivers feed into it. The lake gets water from underground.

The forest around the lake is full of wildlife, like green mambas, monitor lizards, and many kinds of birds, including grey herons, fish eagles, cormorants, ospreys, and kingfishers. The different types of trees create a beautiful view, and there is also a prayer mountain.
