Day to day Best of Tanzania Safari Itinerary
Day 1:
Travel from Zanzibar to Selous – Explore Wildlife All Day – Return to Zanzibar in the Afternoon
Upon arrival at the ship cruise terminal, you will be met by our representative for a smooth transfer to Zanzibar Airport. From here, you will embark on an exciting journey to Selous Game Reserve, now known as Nyerere National Park. This adventure begins with an early morning hotel pick-up and a short drive to the airport, ensuring you are well-prepared for your safari experience.
At 06:00, your domestic flight takes off, offering breathtaking aerial views of Zanzibar’s turquoise waters before reaching the vast wilderness of Selous at 06:30. Upon landing, your safari adventure kicks off with a thrilling game drive at 07:00, giving you the chance to spot incredible wildlife, including elephants, lions, and hippos, in one of Africa’s largest protected areas.
By mid-morning, around 10:30, you’ll take a relaxing coffee or tea break in the heart of the wilderness, surrounded by the untouched beauty of nature. The adventure continues as you enjoy a delicious bush lunch at 12:30, set in a scenic location where you can soak in the tranquil environment while listening to the sounds of the wild.
After an unforgettable day of wildlife exploration, your game drive concludes at 15:00. By 16:00, you will board your return flight to Zanzibar, landing at 16:45. Upon arrival, a transfer will be arranged to take you back to your hotel or ship cruise, marking the end of an exhilarating safari experience in Tanzania’s pristine wilderness.
