Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your guide will meet you for a warm welcome and a short safari briefing. Day 2:
Nairobi to Maasai Mara – The Adventure Begins
After breakfast, begin your scenic 6-hour drive to the legendary Maasai Mara Game Reserve. As you travel, you’ll pass through the stunning Great Rift Valley, with its dramatic landscapes and vibrant views of rolling hills and wide plains. Along the way, you may also catch glimpses of local villages, offering a true sense of the culture and environment that surrounds this iconic region.
Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch at your camp before heading out for an exciting afternoon game drive. Spend two full days exploring the breathtaking Maasai Mara! Start your mornings with game drives at sunrise, the best time to spot predators in action. Drive across the vast plains, watching herds of wildebeest, zebras, and giraffes. If you visit during the Great Migration, you’ll witness thousands of wildebeest crossing the Mara River—a sight like no other!
For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, you can take an optional hot air balloon safari and see the Mara from above. Later, visit a Maasai village to meet the locals and learn about their way of life. In the afternoons, enjoy more game drives, searching for lions, cheetahs, and other wildlife.
