Gran Melia Arusha location

Arusha is a city in northeastern Tanzania, located below Mount Meru on the edge of the Great Rift Valley. It is a popular tourist spot and the center of the northern Tanzania safari circuit. Arusha is the gateway to several attractions like Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara National Park, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Arusha National Park on Mount Meru.

Arusha has two airports: Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), a 50-minute drive from Gran Meliá Arusha, and Arusha Airport (ARK), a regional hub 20 minutes from the hotel. Although Arusha is near the equator, its height of 1,400 meters (4,600 feet) on the southern slopes of Mount Meru keeps the weather moderate and less humid. The air is cool and dry for most of the year.
