About Marera Valley Lodge

Marera Valley Lodge is a lovely place with big rooms. Each room has large beds, sitting areas, bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, and private balconies. Marera Valley Lodge is located on the outskirts of the village of Karatu, about halfway between Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater, in the beautiful hilly region of the Ngorongoro Highlands. There is a big swimming pool in a beautiful, hilly area, and you can see great views of the valley from anywhere in the lodge. The food is delicious because the owner is a chef!

The Marera valley lodge is a brandnew lodge with very spacious rooms, each room is equipped with their own, private fireplace to set the mood.

Marera Valley Lodge location

arera Valley Lodge is just outside Karatu town, between Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater, near the village of Rhotia. It’s easy to reach from the main road and has amazing views of the valley and hills. We look forward to welcoming you with true Tanzanian hospitality.

The main building has lots of places to sit, both inside and outside, with views of the pool and hills. You can enjoy a drink or lunch on the big verandah by the pool. There’s a bar and lounge area with a cosy fire for cooler times and a large dining room for meals. The reception area and gift shop are here too. The Rosemary Spa is in a quiet part of the garden and offers massages and other relaxing treatments. The cottages are in lush tropical gardens, and there is a walking path around the large organic vegetable garden
