Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp

About Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp

Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp provides a special and personal safari experience with 11 mobile tents that move throughout the year to follow the wildebeest migration. From December 1 to March 31, the camp is set up in the Small Marsh area of Ndutu in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This lets guests stay close to the herds as they gather to eat fresh grass and prepare for calving. The best time to see baby animals and predators is between late January and late February.

Each tent is 12 meters long and 4 meters wide, made from strong safari canvas locally sourced from Morogoro, Tanzania, with extra shading to keep it cool. The tents can open fully in the front, with mosquito nets and canvas layers for both protection and airflow. Inside, you’ll find sideboards, storage chests, carpets, and beds with soft cotton sheets, pillows, duvets, and bed runners. Each bed is surrounded by mosquito nets. The tents also have screened windows on both sides for a fresh, insect-free breeze.
