Is Nyikani Migration Camp – Kogatende the Right Choice for Your Safari?
Nyikani Migration Camps are located in the Serengeti ecosystem and move twice a year to give guests the best views of the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras. From December to March, the camp is in the Ndutu area, south of Serengeti National Park, allowing easy access to top wildlife areas around Lakes Ndutu and Masek. Here, you’ll see not only the huge herds of wildebeest and zebras but also cheetahs, lions, giraffes, and many bird species. In February, during calving season, around 8,000 wildebeest calves are born each day.
From late May to October, the camp moves to Northern Serengeti near the Mara River, where you can watch the migration cross the river between Tanzania and Kenya, with chances to spot crocodiles, hippos, and big cats in action.
The camp has 12 tents (king, twin, triple, family) including one large family tent, each with an ensuite bathroom, flush toilet, double washbasins, and a bucket shower. The tents are spaced 15–20 meters apart for privacy and each has a private verandah with views of the Serengeti. Guests also enjoy morning coffee and tea service, power outlets with universal adapters, a writing desk, and a digital safe.
