Grumeti River Camp location

Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp is located in the heart of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, where there’s lots of wildlife activity. The camp sits in a lush forest by a lagoon of the Grumeti River, which attracts playful hippos. It’s also the only place in the country where you can see the rare pied colobus monkey. The camp has just 10 double tents, offering a cozy and close experience with nature.

During the Great Migration, the camp is in a great spot to watch thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles cross the Grumeti River, home to huge Nile crocodiles. Even outside of migration season, the Serengeti is full of wildlife like the Big 5, cheetahs, and vultures. You can often hear hippos from your tent or outdoor shower, and it’s a great place to snap photos of them!

The camp offers both family-friendly accommodations and private suites for honeymooners, making it perfect for both seasoned safari-goers and first-time adventurers.
